Activity 3: Listening for Discourse Markers

As I read the transcript below, listen for things that strike you as interesting.

Group Exercise

  1. Think about which parts of the interview are more consistent with an A strategy and which parts fit better with a C strategy?
  2. Was there any parts where the information was not transformed i.e. clear and coherent, and therefore more consistent with B?
  3. Can you recognise any of the discourse markers you learned last time? Can you plot these on to the sheet on the materials tab?
