The goal of this part of the training is to practice using widely used social work tools as an aid for critical analysis (6 stage model for supervising assessment work).
In your small groups identify a case that one of you supervises, where enough information is known to be able to do the exercise in a meaningful way.
The case presenter should give a brief outline only. Each group member should then note for themselves 3 assumptions they are holding about the risks and/or strengths in the case.
Review the chronology together before analysing it using the worksheet below. If you don’t have access to the chronology you will need to prepare a timeline of key events.
