The Infant CARE-Index – online coding group – February – December 2026

The Infant CARE-Index coding group was set up so Infant CARE-Index coders, new and old, could continue to practice with feedback after their initial training….and have the opportunity to meet with colleagues to discuss clinical issues.

To join:

(1) Pay the membership fee of £45 plus VAT

(2) Send at least 1 clip with consent at some point during the year which runs from February through to December. This isn’t optional. If you don’t think you can get a clip, find someone who can, as its a mandatory requirement of group membership.

We code 10 clips over the course of the year, one a month from February -July and September-December. If you join part way through the year you can go back and review the clips already completed.

(3) Members will be invited to join a Mattermost group (like Slack).

The videos will be posted on a private Vimeo showcase. Each month there will be a group meeting on Zoom to discuss the coding and clinical issues. If you can’t make the discussion you can send questions and we will address them on the call. After the call the coding sheet will be uploaded to Mattermost and a video of the discussion will be available to watch on Vimeo.

(4) If you participate in 80% of the meetings (in real time or by catch up with reflection on learning) you can request renewal of your reliability certificate.
