Overview

This is advanced training in the Adult Attachment Interview (AAI).

It teaches advanced discourse analysis for very troubled individuals (in-patient, psychoses, personality disorders, criminality) & builds on the DMM methods taught in the basic 18-day course.

Mandatory Course Requirements

Course participants must have taken the 18-day Adult Attachment Interview course.

It is essential that trainees attend all 8 days of this training course.

There will be homework practice transcripts to code after the course.

A reliability test will follow on from completion of the practice transcripts. Not completing the practice transcripts will seriously impede the level of reliability that can be achieved.

There is a requirement to submit 1 clinical AAI (not submitted to the basic 18-day course). This work must be completed to receive certificates for administering and coding forensic AAIs.

For more information, see www.familyrelationsinstitute.org.

Course timings

The course will run on Tuesdays and Saturdays each week (8 days in total) to allow students time to analyse the course transcripts thoroughly.

The course will be delivered online via Zoom video conference.

Teaching will be in the morning  (UK time).

You will be required to read and classify a transcript between each training day starts. Consequently, participants should be as free of other obligations during the training as possible.
